| Nick Green, who prior to today had hit 11 homeruns in his career in a bit more than 700 at bats, gets his first Red Sox homerun in the 2nd inning and then for good measure adds his second Sox homerun in the 7th for the first two homerun game of his career while Tim Wakefield goes the distance for the complete game 3 hitter as the Sox dispatch the Twins. The only damage done to Wake was a 3rd inning homerun for Denard Span, along with the 3 hits and 4 walks. The Sox get to the .500 mark for the first time this season with the win. |
