Who the hell would ever think that in a game with a 13-1 lead after two innings that the tying run for the opponents would come to bat in the 9th inning!! In one of the craziest games I have had, it was in two stages. First, ater a Yuniel Escobar homer in the first inning puts the Braves in front 1-0, Chase Utley and Ryan Howard go back-to-back in the bottom of the 1st for the 3-1 Phillie led. Then the floodgates open as the Phils score 10 runs in the 2nd inning off of 4 Braves pitchers for the seemingly insurmountable 13-1 lead after 2 innings. Then came stage two - the Phillies would not score the remainder if the game, while the Braves peck away off a tiring Cole Hamels for 3 runs in the 7th and a total of 6 runs. That ends Hamels day, Jack Trashner goes an inning unscathed but the Braves get four runs in the 9th off of Scott Eyre and Chad Durbin and bring the tying run to the plate before Dave Ross strikes out to end the game. |

Jayson Werth slammed a homerun and had 3 RBI as the Philadelphia Phillies
outscored the Atlanta Braves 13 to 10.
The game started off with Philadelphia taking the lead in the first scoring 3
runners on 3 hits. The big moment was provided by Chase Utley who made the
crowd happy when he lifted one out of the park for a two run home run.
Atlanta had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.
The win went to Cole Hamels(2-2) who allowed 6 runs in 6 innings. Jo-Jo
Reyes(0-4) was the loser. He pitched 1 and 1/3 innings giving up 6 hits and
