May 12, 2009 Phillies 3, Dodgers 1

With the Red Sox out in Los Angeles playing the Angels, L.A's other team comes east to take on the Phillies. Chan Ho Park and Clayton Kershaw lock horns in a pitchers duel, with one mistake pitch for Kershaw resulting in a 2-run homerun for Jimmy Rollins and gives the Phils the margin of victory. Matt Kemp homers for the Dodgers, and Jayson Werth adds an insurnace run when he knocks one over the fence in the 8th. Park gets his 3rd win, Clay Condrey takes the 8th with his 0.52 ERA (one run in 17 1/3) and Brad Lidge records save number 9 and remains unscored upon in a total of 12 innings for the year.

The pitching lines: Park goes 7, 4 hits and one run allowed for the win. Kershaw is no slouch in the loss with 7 inn, 6 hits and the 2 runs along with 9 K's. 5 of those 9 whiffs were in the first two innings of the game.
