I just thought I would show you this, as the Nats do not fare too well in their season opener whiffing 13 times against the Marlins' Ricky Nolasco.

Second baseman Dan Uggla slammed a homerun and had 2 RBI and Ricky Nolasco
racked up an impressive total of 13 strikeouts at Land Shark Stadium as the
Florida Marlins beat the Washington Nationals by the count of 10 to
1.

Nolasco(1-0) was in control of the game from the outset. He was stingy on the
mound, allowing just 5 hits and 3 walks in 9 innings. The pitchers took over
after the 4th inning as neither team was able to score again.

John Lannan(0-1) was hit with the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 7 hits and
2 walks in 2 and 1/3 innings. Fredi Gonzalez was asked about the performance
of Nolasco, 'He had his good stuff out there this afternoon. The fans really
get into it when the strikeouts start mounting up - and that seems to give
him even more adrenalin.'
