At Coors Field, the Colorado fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel. Jason
Marquis(1-0) finally bested his Philadelphia opposite, Cole Hamels(0-1), by
the score of 3 to 1.
Colorado went ahead for good in the bottom of the 2nd inning plating an
isolated run utilizing 2 base hits. Marquis got help from Huston Street who
pitched a perfect ninth and was credited with his 1st save.
Hamels was the losing pitcher. He surrendered 2 runs and 6 hits in 7 innings.
