The Phils get within a run with a four run 7th inning (three of those runs on a Chase Utley homerun), but can't get any closer as L.A. adds an insurance run in the 8th off of Chad Durbin. |

In a good matchup it was the Los Angeles(NL) Dodgers 8, the Philadelphia
Phillies 6 at Dodger Stadium.
Orlando Hudson provided much of the offense. He doubled in the 1st inning,
smacked a three-run homer in the 2nd inning and lashed a single in the 4th
inning. For the game Los Angeles(NL) out-hit Philadelphia 14 to 10.
Eric Milton(3-0) allowed 5 runs in 6 innings, and picked up the victory.
Jonathan Broxton earned the save, his 19th. Jamie Moyer(5-4) was the loser.
He allowed 7 runs and 8 hits in 1 and 1/3 innings.

tenacity.'
