| Not quite the slugfest of the previous two games, as the Phillies salvage the final game of the series. Jimmy Rollins has a hand in all three Phillie runs as his 2-run homerun in the 5th inning ties the game, and after a triple in the 10th he comes home on a walk-off single for Chase Utley. The difference in the game, and not showing up on the boxscore anywhere, was the Phillie outfield defense. Jayson Werth threw out a runner at home trying to score in the 5th, and Shane Victorino does the same thing when Reed Johnson tries to give the Cubs a lead in the 8th inning by nailing him at home. |
